Not Safe For Work

This is the Not Safe for Work version of the Canal Day antics down on the water in the mooring basin. Thanks to Boating With TR for use of the photos.

UPDATE: [5/15/08] I've taken the video down for now. If you want the video reloaded, leave a comment. .... You can still check out the pictures.

Want to see TR's pictures from past Canal Days? Click here. Remember to look through each day and check for his link to the NSFW pics ;-)

Love the video! It's one hell of an event. Can't let the credits pass for the video, however. The title of the song is "Me & Julio Down By The Schoolyard" and it was written and performed by Paul Simon...Garfunkel had nothing to do with it!

Got to love it!!
Do not understand why the city would like to shut down such a wonderful day of food, fun and eye feasting. It is not like it is in your face on the street. Don't look Martha then it will not bother you. JRW_MDUS

I really hope they don't shut the party down for 2008, but I hear that if Chesapeak City does shut it down, the party will be moved to Farlee Creek just out side of Great Oak Marina? They have a lot more room there. See you in June!!!! SOMEWHERE....

Let'em shut it down..It should be at Farlee Creek any way..Way more room....

This is exacly why they would dhut it down. Do you even know what Canal Day is? It's not just partying getting shit faced drunk and seeing a buch of girls flash thier breast allthough it's nice to see as well. Canal Day is a celebration to commenorate the completion of the C&D Canal. What the hell does Fairlee Creek have to do with Canal Day nothing thats right. If you want to have a party there then start your own. The town is upset and fed up with people just showing up to get drunk and start lots of chaos. How many Canal Day events have you attened? Have you visited anything besides the Chesapeake Inn? I have partyed at Canal Day for years and still do but living here all year long puts a little more insight on things. There is more to Chesapeake Cith then just Chesapeake Inn.

Hey Big Mike, without the Inn and Canal Days, your little town is nothing. It's dim bulbs like you that are going to take that nothing little town and take it BACK off the map if your plans happen.

Canal Day is awsome, but it is a little much these days. I have been out in the water several years and people are disrespectful. We are afraid to bring our boat this year because we don't want it to get trashed, which has happended in the past. it is impossible to keep strangers off your boat. I agree with BigMike. I also agree that the party in the water should be moved somewhere else, so Canal Day can become more family oriented again.

This is Canal day that we are talking about here. Canal Day works for everyone. If you want piece and quiet and time with your kids, stay on land and in town ab=nd stroll the streets. If you want to party and have fun but don't have a boat, go to the bars at the inn. If you have a boat and want to party, come on down. If you have a boat and don't like the party -STAY HOME AND SIT AT THE DOCK. You are probably the type of boater that has an old boat which rarely, if ever gets untied from your dock.
PS: I THINK FAIRLEE CREEK IS A GREAT OPTION IF CHESAPEAK CITY BLINKS...

Please,Please go to Fairlee Creek, I have lived here all my life, with the exception of going away to college, and can tell you that since the Chesapeake Inn has come to town it has gotten worse, maybe you idiots will someday see that the Chesapeake Inn is taking your money for what used to be free. Why would one pay for a raffle fopr a slip then have to pay for the slip if they win? If you want to walk on the docks they charge you, When are you people going to learn, they are a bigh rip off just taking your money and laughing all the way to the bank. I guess if you are going to be idiots then the should take your money

I've never been to canal days but hear alot about it, so you better believe I'm going this year! I've always expected to have to pay for raffel tickets and drinks so when we go out on our boat we don't bitch about spending money. I don't think "getting ripped off" is the right term. I believe it is more like "paying to play." See you all in the basin!

This is going to be a great 2008 Canal Day. Pay to play I like that one. The guy thats worried about spending money can't be too bright, he did leave for college but moved back again, probably with Mommy? He probably has a little sailfish sitting on a trialer next to the garage. You know sailboaters-"the wind is free and they think everything else should be"

Just wanted to give everyone a head's up, I am rafted out at in the basin and the coast guard has told me all of the rumors of the 24hr stay and boarding boats is "UTTERLY COMPLETELY FALSE"...his direct words. "How can we make 300 boats leave the basin after drinking, think people, would that make sense." The main goal is to make sure people do not leave after drinking all day and night. They prefer that you do not leave and stay. Hopefully next year the NorEaster will get more info before printing crap that people believe.
