Taking the ferry?
At right is the schedule for the ferry if you want to use it to cross the canal during Canal Day. Just click on the schedule it to make it bigger. In case you don't know –– it's a people ferry only. No cars.
Canal Day is an annual day of music, food, drinks and fun along the streets of historic South Chesapeake City, Md., and on the water of the Back Creek mooring basin just off the C&D Canal. It's traditionally held on the last Saturday in June.
This video, originally posted in an earlier blog entry, turned out to be so popular, I'm posting it here so it stays on the home page. HINT: If you want to watch it full screen, click on the little box with the arrow just beneath the video.
Because I put a family filter on the photos, you'll have to log in to flickr to see them. That means if you don't have a free flickr account, you'll need to sign up. It's quick and easy .... and worth it.
